Connect to Windows VPS
Congratulations on your new VPS! Connect to it by following the steps below
Overview
If on Windows, proceed to the If on Windows Operating System section of this guide.
If on MacOS, proceed to the If on MacOS section of this guide.
If on Windows Operating System:
- Click on the Windows Icon.
- Type in Remote Desktop Connection (RDP).
- Click on it when it appears in the search menu.
- Fill in the Computer field with the IP address given in the client area or email after ordering.
- Click Connect.
- A pop-up will appear asking for credentials. Click More Choices.
- Click Use a different account.
- Fill in the username with Administrator.
- Fill in the password with one used when ordering or refer to the email sent after ordering.
- Click Remember me to not have to enter in the username and password each time.
- Click OK and you are now connected.
- Enjoy the VPS!
If on MacOS:
- Click here to be taken directly to the App Store to download.
- Download Microsoft Remote Desktop.
- Open in the dock once downloaded.
- Click the + button.
- Then, click the Add PC button.
- Fill in the PC Name field with the IP Address given in the client area or email after ordering.
- Click on User account and select Add User Account.
- Fill in the username with Administrator.
- Fill in the password with one used when ordering or refer to the email sent after ordering.
- Click Add.
- Once done, you will be returned to the Add PC dialogue box. Once there, click the Add button.
- To connect to the VPS, double click on the respective VPS you are wanting to connect to.
