Changing your VPS hostname, also known as setting up an rDNS (Reverse DNS) record, is something our team can do for you. Please follow the steps below to get an rDNS record set up for you.

  1. Choose the desired domain/subdomain you’d like the rDNS record to show
  1. Point the IP of your VPS to that subdomain using an A Record.

  1. Reach out to Hosturly Client Relations Team by submitting a ticket
    1. Under “Message,” input something along the lines of:
      1. Hi Hosturly Team, I would like to setup an rDNS record to [Domain/Subdomain] for [VPS IP Address]. Thanks! Best regards, [Your Name]
  1. Our team will work to fulfill this request. Please note that if steps 1 and 2 are not completed, there may be delays in getting the request fulfilled.

Thank you for being a dedicated customer. We very much value all of your business! ❤️
